Description
Domination of the air during WWII was a critical element in the ultimate Allied victory. This is the story of men, machine and tactics that faced off every day in a deadly aerial struggle.

Mitsubishi A6M Zero: Japan's most famous and used aircraft, the Zero first saw compat over China in 1940 and remained in service until the end of World War II.
Vought F4U Corsair: After some early problems the Corsair wnt on to become, according to may, the finest fighter in World War II.
Griffon Supermarine Spitfire: The Spitfire, with its slender fuselage and a top speed of 460 mph, was lean, fast, and more than a match for the German foes it encoutered.
Messerschmitt BF109: Although less capable and trickier to fly than later German fighters, the 109 was the craft of choice for many of the Luftwaffe's leading aces.
Hawker Hurricane: Easy to fly, nimble and a stable gun platform, the Hurricane recorded most of the RAF's fighter kills during the Battle of Britain.
